Kevin Richardson is known as the lion whisperer. He walks amongst them like I walk amongst my house cats. I’ve seen him cajole lions to swim through water for a commercial shoot – and that is some feat considering lions hate water. Not only does he sloth about with lions, hyenas love him too.
Forget that stupid movie with Eddie Murphy – I like to call him Eddie Nerphy cos he gets on my nerves so much. Kevin Richardson is the true Dr. Dolittle. I mean how else can you explain how he gets a hyanae to put its best jaw forward for a glamour shoot inside of a 4X4? The man is incredible and is the only animal wrangler I have ever come across who strolls amongst lions and hynaes unarmed. Yes no whips or rough handling. His wish is their command.
I’ve worked on plenty commercials and movie shoots in South Africa and know what I’m talking about. You’ll never get a call from animal activists when they know you’re working with Kevin.
Not only is he good looking, he also has good manners and is charming.
