I have been struggling with the seemingly changing roles of men and women including men that appear to want to be “chased” Is it really true that a woman should NEVER initiate converstations with a man she is interested in. Meaning never calling for no reason or asking a man to join her on an outing in the beginning of a relationship. In other words, MUST women play very hard to get to be able to have a healthy and long term relationship?

I was going out with someone who the chemistry was amazing but after seeing him a few times he decided to send a message that read he doesnt wish to worry about his life personally, take care. I didnt expect to hear from him again and was surprised to get a number of messages, Merry Xmas, happy new year and he found a house to live in etc.. i responded to these messages but I’m wondering what could be going on in his mind here.. I didnt initiate any messages thinking he needed space…he is the one to do so

I havew made many mistakes with a man that I work with at church. We became friends, became involved, but he didn’t want a relationship. I let the physical intimacy last for a whole year before ending it. We still see each other every weekend and have begun dating others. My question is how can I raise my value in his eyes, or regain a higher level of respect? I have noticed that he is disrespectful and it has been an uphill battle setting up boundaries that have surfaced from my higher self esteem.
